![]() ![]() According to available information, the first meteorological radar in the Czech Republic was put into operation at the weather station. Meteorological observations were still maintained at a very high level. In 1951, the station was transferred under the administration of the Military Academy in Brno. At that time, it was considered a major site in the European meteorological network. Since its establishment, comprehensive measurements of meteorological variables and their evaluation have been systematically conducted at the station. The station is located at the level of the attic and roof space in the building C in the premises of the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Since 1911 regular observations have been conducted here and since 1912 the station has been included in the national meteorological network as a major observatory.
